Meet Dr. Minhas

Sumeet is originally from New York, NY. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience from Barnard College of Columbia University. After graduating, she joined Mount Sinai Medical Center as a dermatology clinical research fellow and started to shadow a local general dentist. She fell in love with dentistry and decided to continue her education in the field and was accepted into Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. During her time at Columbia, she ranked in the top ten percent of her class and helped co-founded an organization which helped provide high quality resources to underserved students to help with dental school admissions.

After receiving her doctorate in 2020, Dr. Minhas joined the Ohio State University College of Dentistry as an orthodontic resident. During residency, she became interested in the various technological advances in the orthodontic field, including 3-D printing, manufacturing of in-house aligners, and researching how AI may impact the future of orthodontics. Deciding to make Columbus her future home and wanting to get involved in her community, Dr. Minhas became involved with the Junior League of Columbus which is an organization that is dedicated to empowering women through community impact, training, and leadership development. She also enjoys exploring Ohio and hiking with her friends and family.
